Visit Vegas On A Budget
Visiting Las Vegas doesn’t have to be expensive. If you’re willing to cut a few corners, there are ways to save cash for gambling at the casino and still have the full Vegas experience. Here are a few things you can do.
Book a package deal, especially if you’re flying to Las Vegas. Many online vacation booking sites offer great last minute deals that include flight and hotel accommodation. If you do the math, package deals work out to more of a savings than booking flights and hotels separately.
Check out the free attractions listed here:
Bellagio Fountains
Bellagio Gardens
Caesars Palace Statues
Fremont Street
Circus Acts at Circus Circus
Artwork at the Venetian Hotel
Lion Habitat at MGM Grand
Sirens of TI
Shark tank at the Mirage
White Lions at the Mirage
Eat on the cheap by splitting large entrees for dinner, seeking out food specials, eating large lunches at the buffets and opting for lighter dinners in the hotel food courts.
If you’re staying on the strip its usually not worth venturing off the strip in search of a cheap meal, after the time, effort and cab fare you won’t save much in the end.
Don’t drink at the restaurants. Drinks are free in the casinos, just tip well and you’ll save a lot more than you would if you paid for each drink.
Find discounted tickets for shows by visiting a Tix4Tonight box office. They sell show tickets half price on the day of the show. There are five of these box offices in Las Vegas, four on the strip and one in downtown so no matter where you’re staying you shouldn’t have a problem finding one.
If you’re set on seeing a particular show and want to book in advance to guarantee a seat, opt for an afternoon show because they’re generally less expensive than evening shows.
